About the Event
Participants will learn about the Transition to Work program and the support that is available to them through the program. The Transition to work program focuses on practical support and work experience to build skills, confidence and readiness for employment.
Participants will be allocated a youth employment consultant who will support them on their journey to employment for 18 months. The program helps youth with the transitioning to employment through assisting with:
- Pre-employment skills
- Addressing any barriers to employment and
- Referring to services to assist with these barriers
- Training options
- Employment opportunities
- Post placement support
- Reverse marketing
- Having employment opportunities available
- Financial assistance with travel, work wear, training
